The influences of the Arts of Islam on the production of jewelry and precious objects of the Maison Cartier, from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day. An ambitious project of unique and original collaboration between the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Musée du Louvre, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Maison Cartier and Louvre Abu Dhabi.

More than 500 jewels and objects from the Maison Cartier

 

Xilografia has created the display cases inside which jewels, masterpieces of Islamic art, drawings, books, photographs and archive records are exhibited. All these sources highlight the interest of Maison Cartier for the oriental patterns that anticipate the birth of a new aesthetic marked by modernity.

Cartier and the Arts of Islam in search of modernity.

Co-organized by Louvre Abu Dhabi, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Musée du Louvre, and France Muséums, with the support of Maison Cartier, the exhibition explores the influence of Islamic art on Cartier design from the early 20th century to the present day.
